November in Numbers

November is All Work and No Play. Not much of interest to record except marking and Christmas shopping so I lifted Sian's idea of last month and kept a tally of the grocery basic we went through in what was an ordinary, if slightly frugal month.
8 loaves of bread
17 pints of milk
6 bags of potatoes
12 tins of baked beans
10 packets of biscuits
30 packets of crisps
6 bottles of squash
10 boxes of cereal
5 takeaways (all Fish and Chips from the shop scross the road)

I think I like the design of this one most of all months.

June in Numbers

It's hard to believe, but we're over halfway through the year - time to start counting down to Christmas! In October I will start a new weekly Christmas 2012 Plan-Along post on this blog. (I need to start working on this during the summer hols, including a better name!)

June was a busy month - which meant lots of numbers so I decided just to print them out. Here are the stats:

·       4 mufti days at schools

·       1 street party at M''s School to celebrate the Queen’s 60th Jubilee

·          10 people in France for 7 days

·       £140 spent on children’s shoes

·       £37 spent on Mary’s new glasses

·       2.5 hrs French written exam

·       7 bowls of strawberries picked in the garden

·       4.5 hrs in the Chinese restaurant to celebrate my father-in-law's 70^th birthday

·       2 school fairs (at the same time)

·       122.3 mm  of rainfall – 2x the average for June

·       £15 of food shopping put back because of the Natwest bank crisis

·       8lb – the weight of my new 2^nd cousin, born 25.6.12

April in Numbers

I'm in good company this month, as several other people have used tags, but I found these lovely small coloured ones in my local Tiger shop, and couldn't resist them. The bakers twine came from there as well (only £1 for a big bale) and I used Glossy Accents to adhere it into shape.

March in numbers, and some Smash pages

Inspired by 'Raw Art Journalling', the Pass-the-Book book I received from Amy, I decided to journal and doodle my March in Numbers. I'm not in love with it, I found it very difficult, but I think my Smash book is a good place to try out these techniques.

I loved Amy's 'life is better' page so I thought I'd do the same in my 2012 Smash Book. I would never have thought of some of the items if Amy hadn't thought of them first!

Smash 2012 and January in Number

I enjoyed using my red Smashbook so much for Journal Your Christmas that I bought myself a green version. I intend to use it this year for all the little events of 2012 which won't make it into my 12x12 album for whatever reason. I love how quickly I can put together a Smash page because of the smaller format and the fact that the pages already have a background design. This green one has lovely nature inspired prints and photographic backgrounds.

I have also been inspired by Sian and Melissa (who were inspired by, among others, Julie) tyo create a monthly Month in Numbers. I've been looking for a year-long project that is manageable and I think this fits the bill. The Smash book is the perfect place to keep it, so here's my January in Numbers:
