More wedding scrapping -and no purple!

M is a fireman and the newly weds rode a vintage fire engine from the church to the reception. This was obviously a great photo op, but even better - no purple! So I got the chance to use these rather gorgeous papers from the 'J'Adore' pad by First Edition Papers from Hobbycraft.
I always find it hard to work with 1 portrait and 1 landscape picture and I often end up using this sort of fairly graphic layout. I got it slightly wrong today as A and M are looking off the page in the bottom photo, but I didn't notice that until it was too late and I don't think it matters.
I teamed the florals with some elements cut from the MME Chalk Studio 6x6 papers, which gave me the perfect title and subtitle.
I've had those tiny gold envelopes for about 6 years. They were one of the very first embellishments I bought when I started scrapbooking and I've always felt they needed to be filled with something really, really important. Why it never occurred to me before to use them just as decoration, I do not know! There is nothing in them, although I might add a little journaling card if there's anything left to be written  when I've finished all the wedding pages.
I found the red felt elements when I got my Christmas stash out recently. I assume they are meant to be poinsettias as they rest of the sheet was baubles and reindeer, but they look fine here, teamed with a Basic Grey ampersand brad.
To finish off I used some tiny red sequins for a confetti effect.

Hi Kirsty,
I've been away from blogland for a while, and i just caught up with your recent posts. As always, your layouts are gorgeous! I really like the one of three generations of dancers and the purple wedding one (though this is fabulous, too)!
Planning to be around more in the future.

Ah, but they are looking towards the bottom right hand corner where the eye goes naturally anyway to turn the page, so I think it really works!
