So, an hour in the water with 17 of her school friends and cousins, followed by tea and cake in the pool café. Perfect!
The inflatable crocodile was a great success and the lifeguards gave the kids a fab time |
After all that excitement, it was back to school for all of use except R who had an extra two days off. He spent them with his grandmothers while I was working.
On Tuesday, I attended a parents' meeting at R's future secondary school - I'm still very nervous for him, but I'm doing my best to stay positive as I'm becoming more and more convinced we have found the right school. R is very excited to have his first visit there next week.
Oh, and look what we found when we were shopping:
If I can find a full family set there's definitely a layout in there. R had the brilliant idea of buying matching coke bottles as a wedding presents for friends who are get married in a few months. I think that's inspired so I'll have to keep a look out.
On Friday night those same friends came over for dinner with a French colleague, who brought her raclette set. Never eaten raclette before- great fun. I forgot to take any picture though, I blame the horrible chesty cough I woke up with today. I've spent all afternoon on the sofa, wasting the sunshine but feeling too lethargic to get up, while the kids were outside filling the paddling pool.

I loved swim parties. Always a hit and super easy. Great looking cake!

Sorry to say I've only just noticed this post was attacked by a rogue apostrophe who inserted himself in the wrong place. He has now been placed in a secure holding pen ready for when he is next actually needed!
Great looking cake Kirsty. Looks like the party was a hit.
