My family in the Mirror of Erised

Although I only managed to make 1 layout on National Scrapbooking Day yesterday, I enjoyed reading all the extra blog posts. Shimelle AKA Glitter Girl gave us inspiration almost hourly and this Harry Potter is based on a Sketch to Scrapbook Page video, which I hadn't seen before.
The picture is a reflection of us in the Mirror of Erised (which shows you the 'deepest, most desperate desires of our hearts') so I wanted to emphasise the mirror-image with silver Mirri board and shiny lettering. The large letters are Pink Paislee Mistables coloured with a silver Posca paint pen. Mistables are a great investment as they can be coloured to match any layout. I also darkened the shade of the Papermania Blueberry alpha stickers with Distress Ink to make them match better. the star paper is by Heidi Swapp and, as in all my HP layouts I used the filmstrip Trendy Tape. I need to add a rub-on owl as well; I've just remembered that was the other repeated element I decided on for these pages. I'll go back and add one to the large circle.
