JYC The final chapter

I had 2 belated Journal Your Christmas surprises today. An extra email from Shimelle to show us her finished book, and the delivery of my Blog2Print book.

I used Blog2Print to turn my daily JYC posts into a printed book. It was not a difficult process, the most hassle was going back through my posts and slightly altering them so they would make sense 2 years from now.
This format cost $14.95, and although it took quite a while to arrive, I think that's decent value. The inside layout is a little odd, as the posts do not necessarily fit onto a page, but I am happy to have a book for 2012 with all the journalling I wanted. I would have liked larger pictures, but one of the reasons why I didn't make a JYC book myself this year, was that I wanted to do more 12x12s so I have most of the best photos in my 2012 album.

I made 9 12x12 Christmas layouts during December, plus 1 still in the pipeline and I am really happy to have more Christmas in my last few yearly albums. Inspired by Shimelle's finished book today I decided to put all the remaining Christmas pictures I hadn't yet scrapped into one of these divided page protectors, which I haven't used since I finished Document 2010. It gave me the chance to finish up some scraps of Christmas papers too and use a lot of those little cut-aparts, which I didn't want sitting around until next year.

I have a couple more 2012 layouts to make, but it is only a week until half term when I know I'll  snap a whole new  batch of pictures, so I'm more than ready to put the Christmas stash away and move into Spring scrapping mode.

I've only just noticed that all of those pictures feature M. I think I took more of her this year, because I just drop R off at his activities now, inside of staying with him. Note to self: make sure I do scrap the photos I have to avoid my album looking biased.

I think that's genius! Do the blog posts and then turn them into an album and have JYC all sewn up? Inspired!

I have been looking at Blog2Print as an option to print off blog books - Blurb's process is very clunky and this company seemed to be easier to use. However, how the photos were printed was a turn off for me ... but seeing yours today has reaffirmed that I must get around to this, this year! It really looks fabulous Kirsty!

It looks lovely having it printed out and being able to flick through it - I have often wondered how this would look so thank you for the peeks!
