Vintage (and just a little bit cute)

This is the first scrapbook page I've made about my college years, for my Book Of Me album. No particular reason, I just wasn't a scrapbooker then and I very rarely have the time to scrap old photos, I'm always chasing my tail keeping up with current one. However, I found these black and white photos recently, which were taken in Haworth, home of the Brontes to illustrate my Final Year Dissertation - 10,000 words on the link between Emily Bronte's juvenile Gondal Saga and 'Wuthering Heights' - and I wanted to record that memory for posterity.

My journalling was important here, and I wanted it on display, although usually I would hide large chucks of writing, because the whole thing is about how I did my research and wrote my thesis longhand.

The 7Gypsies ledger paper and script paper (sorry, don't know where that's from - it was a leftover scrap) seemed instantly appropriate to the subject matter, but I also wanted some vintage floral paper to lighten it and to echo the past lives of the Bronte children. The Hobbycraft wooden flowers matched the Papercraft Inspirations paper perfectly. Everything was distressed and inked with Distress Ink, of course.

I like seeing journaling on a page and this pairing with the photos is lovely. I like the b/w photos with the colours you've chosen.
