WOYWW 102

Hiya, all you WOYWWers.
My workspace is a mess today, but a different flavour of mess than usual. The talented digi-scrapper, Amy, reminded me recently that's it's been ages since I use Photoshop for anything other than resizing my photos for blogging, so I had a play last night.

I quite like it. It's OK. But I don't love it. I don't seem to have mastered the benefits of digital scrapping; my LOs always look like flat, lifeless versions of a paper page, instead of beng something unique. What am I doing wrong, guys?

I will keep trying. Perhaps I'll find try using some templates to start with (but that feels more restrictive than sketches, and you know how hard I find those) I'll post my further attempts in the hope you can give me some advice.

In the meantime, though, I've printed out multiple copies of this LO to layer onto a paper page and add a few tactile embellishments. I think hybrid suits me just fine.

I think this is a great digi page - I really like the puzzle look paper for the title! I do digi occassionally, but I most enjoy printing them out and adding a few tactile elements - hybrid suits me fine, too.

I've never really tried digi scrapping, I love my mess too much, but I can see a lot of benefits to hybrid.

Great digi layout! I still have not made one, so any digi layout is better than what I can do! Also, that could be any one of my kids addicted to DS! Love it! Thanks for sharing WOYWW!-Amanda (scrappnbee) #104

I thinks its great! I've never done any digi stuff, it's the paper and glue that I love so why change it?! I would like to do something a little more with my photos though but its all time to learn that I don't have right now. Enjoy whatever you do! Lisa-Jane #111

I think it's great that you can do digi at all, I can't. So I'm not in a position to offer advice - except that a lot of dig do-ers use shadows around the photos to 'lift' them slightly...I personaly think they give away the fact that it's digi, but I guess that's not really meant to be a secret!!

I've never got into digi scrapping either, I love all the cutting and sticking too much. Hybrid suits me fine too. Your paper LO is gorgeous, I read on!!
