Hybridizing

I had some comments suggesting 'hybridising' migt be a made-up word. Well, all ye of little faith: I found this in the online dictionary:

hy·brid·ize (hbr-dz)
intr. & tr.v. hy·brid·ized, hy·brid·iz·ing, hy·brid·iz·es
1. To produce or cause to produce hybrids; crossbreed.
2. To form base pairs between complementary regions of (two strands of DNA that were not originally paired).
3. To produce a stunning scrapbook layout using both digi and paper techniques as you please (my definition)

I also found this lovely word :
Chi·me·ra also Chi·mae·ra (k-mîr, k-)n.
1. Greek Mythology A fire-breathing she-monster usually represented as a composite of a lion, goat, and serpent.

2. An imaginary monster made up of grotesquely disparate parts.

Yep, the last definition describes some of my layouts too!

It wasn't me! I didn't say you'd made it up, I just said I thought it was a great word lol

Tho' at the same time, I don't think there is anything wrong with making words up. I do it all the time :)

Languages wouldn't grow and evolve unless people made up words. Love our hybridised language.
