Instead I thought I would do a monthly 'Month in Review' blog post, and then decide what to do with them all at the end of the year (note to self: Use Joliprint when I do this)
So.
MARCH:
'In like a Lion, out like a Lamb' they say, and this was certainly true of the weather this March.
THINGS I ENJOYED IN MARCH 2011
- R and I both suceeded in our karate gradings. An orange belt for him and a yellow for me. This is a big achievement and I was so proud of us both.
- I visited M at her nursery's open day. Very impressed. She received a 'Golden Leaf' for 'Being patient and waiting her turn'.
- M took part in a Bear Hunt at ML school. She was admired and adored by P's colleagues all day and lapped it all up.
- I spent an indulgent Saturday at Scraploonies crop - the first I have been able to attend since November
- M dressed up as Tinkerbell for Book Week. It was a throw-money-at-the-problem costume from Tesco, but I wasn't the only lazy mum - there were 3 Tinks in M's class.
- I watched the Red Nose Day coverage with R. This was the first year he has understood what his yeargroup were raising money for. Over £100)
- R was being given a hard time at school over his friendship with a girl (he and S have been best friends since Yr 2. Surely 8yr-olds are allowed friends of the opposite sex)
- As so often, the Spring sunchine was gorgeous on our anniversary, but we didn't make much of an effort to enjoy it. I was helping out backstage at R's dress rehearsal. P was in end of term mode. Not conducive to romance.
- We held Speaking and Listening exams at college - always a stressful time.
- The earthquake and tsumani in Japan killed several thousand people and devastated the country.
