Zoom in Zoom Out-on the floods
This is the river near our house, usually little more than a stream, it is now a lake. These photos were taken yesterday after 3 dry days so the flood waters are not as high as they were but we are still on flood alert as there is more rain forecast for tonight and tomorrow.
Fortunately we are far enough away to be safe, but my heart bleeds for the houses behind me

It's desperate isn't it, and as I speak, it's raining in torrents again. Despite that, and on any other occasion, these are lovely photos.
I'm glad you are safe. It's very sad, though. I've been watching it on the news..
I do feel for anyone affected by the floods this winter ... I hope it stops soon!
Just stunning images. So much atmosphere, and they become even more powerful when you know the background story.
