Enjoy the Journey

How do you deal with those not-so-good photos you still want to scrap?

My problem this time was that I had 2 pictures of the kids on the outside ferry deck, but neither was very good. One had a nice sea background, but they were both squinting into the sun and the other was good of the children but had a very distracting background. I tried merging them in PSE, but it was too difficult so I ended up cutting out the 2 figures and mounting them on foam dots over the better background. I think it makes quite a fun feature out of a mediocre photo.
I didn't want to cover up too much of the luscious cloudy sky print so I layered up ferry tickets and cut outs from the Papermania All Aboard 6x6 pad around the photo.
The wording 'Enjoy the Journey' was cut from a very old scrap of patterned paper and attached to cocktail sticks to make flags for the title.

Another very clever technique! The rest of us would probably have ditched the photos but you have made thrm the star.
