I am still persisting with my New School Year resolution of preparing R for scondary school. Just as I think I might have made a breakthrough he does something to remind me he is only 10 and a half.
I might keep you informed as to how I go with my second resolution, though - cutting down on my consumption of wheat-products. Although I don't have a wheat allergy, it does make me very bloated and windy. Also, nearly all my vices - biscuits, cakes, pizzas - are wheat-based and it is easier to focus on what I eat rather than calorie counting or monitoring my weight. I want to lose some inches and I want to have more energy, so I am going to try this way. It also has the advantage of not making absolutely everything off-limits - chocolate and crisps don't contain wheat- so I hope I'll be more likely to stick to it, than a total calorie-counting diet. However, as we know, the road to Hell is paved with good intentions, and my son did (correctly) point out that I've made this resolution once or twice before!
I think I'll finish my daily JYC posts here, although I've still got Christmas layouts to make and I'll share those as and when. We have guests for lunch again tomorrow and then a weekend to get ready for the return to school.
Happy New Year, One and All!

Wishing you every success with both of those :). I've been eating gluten-free for about six months now and really notice the difference, so hope you find renewed energy too.
