This is a long way off my usual style, as is evidenced by the fact that I have had 2 sheets of this DCWV tree paper in my stash for 3 years! Paper chains are definitely not my style either but M loved making them last year and they hung in her bedroom until Easter.
I decided to embrace the kiddy-paper-chain feel and piled on the doodle-style embellishments from the Merry and Bright kit by Kate Hadfield, which I had been saving for card making as I thought I'd never scrap with it. Having made this decision, the whole thing took under 3/4 of an hour. I decoupaged 2 layers of the tree from both sheets and added some extra parcels cut from the Kate Hadfield papers on foam pads. The word panels were all the journalling/title it needed, except for a quote from my daughter last year; " Aah, Christmas. it's sooo lovely!" Thank goodness for my JYC journal where I had recorded that little gem.
I love the bright, childlike effect. It is very differemt from other pages in my album, but I think it encapsulates Christmas from a 4 year old's perspective perfectly.

The bright colours and all the bits really match that paper chain feel - she must really have loved those paper chains :).
