Christmas baking layout

This is the last of the photos from previous Christmasses that I definitely wanted to get scrapped this December. Although I have others printed which I'd like to do, I feel more movitated to get started on 2012 pictures now.

I don't bake all that often with the children - it's a treat, rather than a routine - so I like these photos, especially the top one which R took of me and M. The layout is a fairly simple design of Shimelle's that I've used more than once before and the patterned papers also come from Shimelle's Two Peas kit (great value, I love every single sheet of paper in there!)

The chevrons and reindeer are Kringle & Co, by American Craft and the red cardstock is Bazzill Basics. The snowflake card by Studio Calico and Jenni Bowlin tickets were also in the Two Peas kit.

Having got all the paper and photos adhered, I definitely needed another colour to break up the red and cream, so I coloured my white Basic Grey alphas witha Cinnamon Promarker and went hunting for embellishments. I have had these cute gingerbread man brads for 3 years (so no idea what brand they are) and they seemed to fit the bill even though we were actually making mince peas, not gingerbread. To finish, I cut the brown doilies from a scrap of Echo Park paper. And that's it!

The little gingerbread people are perfect for your bright page - and that looks like a lot of messy fun!
