Scrapbook Remix - a pink and white scraplift.

This is the first layout I've made from the Scrapbook Remix class. It's an old photo of my daughter in her first experience of snow, and it is an almost total scraplift from one of Shimelle's example pages. I'm not going to show you hers. If you've paid for the class you'll know which one I'm refering to, and if you haven't I won't share Shimelle's ideas for free.

I used plain white cardstock, but added some texture with clear embossed dots shaded with pink chalk. the turquoise owl paper is Papermania Festive Friends. the other pieces are scraps. I layered up fabric and felt flowers and added some glitter with Stickles, then attched the Festive Friends die-cuts on pop-dots.

I do like the finished page, but I feel it is less 'mine' then some others. I rarely scraplift a layout in its entirity, though I often take inspiration from them. However M is enchanted with  it and asked to hang it in her bedroom. She's never asked for a layout before so I shall find a 12x12 frame and give it to her.

It's a success then! Definitely. It really is a gorgeous photo - you can't get any cuter

Such a cute layout. I clicked on the picture to enlarge and I'm glad I did. There are some details you can't make out in the smaller photo like the date and flower centers. It's a great piece of inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
