3 scrapbook layouts from the summer completed

I brought home several nearly-finished layouts from France. Ones which just needed computer journalling or an embellishment I didn't have with me. So I spent a pleasant couple of hours today adding finishing touches. It was quite enjoyable to work this way, rather than concentrating on a single layout from start to finish. And i have another 6 layouts in my album.
This was the first time we have been to a bowling alley as a family, but it turned out to be a brilliant way to spend an afternoon when the weather was less than kind. I used a selection of scraps with circular motifs and numbers and layered them at angles to give a feeling of movement. Some stamping with bubble wrap and torn layers grunged it up. This is a very 'messy' layout by my standards and I don't love it. But surprisingly, I think it's the colours I am not keen on, rather than the distressing per se.

This one didn't need much doing to it - I just added the wooden buttons at home. It's very simple anyway as I had 2 good photos, and 2 perfect sheets of paper so I didn't want to cover them up. The large leaf-pattern is a handmade paper with a real dry leaf and I tore the silver birch paper out of my SMASH book. Insteading of matting the photos I scratched a border around them and made 3 windmills to add colour.

I had a lot of fun with this one, fussy-cuting the patterened paper to overlap the photo and then decoupaging the flowers and butterflies. The bling swirls are created from leftover bling letters. You can probably see where I used the F and Y whole. I typed the journalling yesterday and inked the edges of the strips.

Right, gotta go! It's time to get the kids up for school. I'll post the other 3 tomorrow.

More wonderful pages - loving the pinwheels and the cutting. Two things I need to do more.
