My husband's school , a rather unusual, academic, private prep school was celebrating 100 years yesterday so we went up to their Centenary Day fete. R was not with us though. He is away at Cub camp this weekend - his first time!
Whilst it was very nice to spend some time with M on her own, I have spent much of the weekend with a vague feeling of worry about R. The weather is glorious here at the moment which was great for Centenary Day but only added to my worries - sunstroke is not nice!
Having a quiet Saturday evening was a treat and there was nothing on TV except the Eurovision Song contest and football (soccer) so I got out my May Counterfeit kit and these photos from our Easter Egg hunt in France.
This layout started out based on this Starting Point by Shimelle
All the stash was from my Counterfeit Kit, except for a sheet of green Core'dinations embossed cardstock and a sheet of dark brown Papermania cardstock for matting. I never pull out cardstock until I'm ready to start a project - it takes up too much room and I don't really know what I want to use until I look at the photos. I think the pink foam letter are Alpha Minis (by Papermania?) and, since I have now finished up all the vowels and thus rendered it useless, I added X, M and Ws as extra embellishments.
I'm off to the Leisure Pool now for some quality time with Mary (R is still not a strong swimmer so It's difficult for me to take them both to the pool by myself) before I pick the boy up this afternoon.
I've just looked up the result of Eurovision - Sweden won. We came second to last!!
Have the rest of a good weekend

Sounds like you're having a nice weekend! Great layout - the green background works perfect & I must remember to use my extra letters as embellishments next time!
I like what you did with that starting point. I'll have to play along with Shimelle again soon.
The layout looks wonderful - I must check out Shimelle's starting points. Sounds like you enjoyed your weekend even while worrying about R.
