Some photos just don't want to be scrapped!

And this is one of them:  It was taken on M's frst day of fulltime school. It's a happy story - she was more than ready to go full time and was lucky enough to be staying with her wonderful nursery teacher for a second year. The photo's not spectacular, but it's a nice picture of both my children. It should have been an easy page to make.

However, I've been staring at it on and off since September. I'd got it into my head that a certain piece of embossed Co'ordinations cardstock was a perfect match, but I just couldn't get going with it.

So, at the weekend I decided to try somthing different. A white background and to introduce some kraft in with the blue. I layered all the scraps I could find, including the original embossed CS and a ledger tabbed file I made for my Counterfeit Kit (so happy to be using those embellishments I made), inked them all and stuck them down. The EK Success heart rub-ons have been in my stash for yonks. I think they 'pink it up' just enough to make my daughter the focus of this layout, even though she is pictured with her big brother.

It's not my favourite layout, but I'm happy to have got the story down on paper.

I know what you mean. When that happens to me I just try and remember that it's the story I want to tell first and then things seems to fall into place!

Weird isn't it that some are hard for no reason - and I have to say that your kids are so cute :) - well done on getting the embellies used too!

Well, from the end result, I certainly can't tell you had difficulty with it.
