Today I (re)learned stuff I once knew: avoir takes etre; words ending tion are feminine. I also learned that my spoken French is better than I thought it was.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first lesson of French A2. Discussing 'Cest quoi, la culture?' with 17 year-olds definitely made me feel my age, but they were lovely girls and I think I held my own.

Now I'm confused - avoir takes ĂȘtre? I thought my French was pretty good but that doesn't sound right to me... and I bet your spoken French is far better than a lot of people's after spending so much time there. It makes all the difference. Great to read what you've been learning, btw and good luck with the French!
