Colour Combo Blog Hop

This is the colour inspiration Amy gave us for July's Colour Hop.

I have used a gone-wrong background from another LO which fitted the basic colour scheme perfectly to make a layout about R's new footsplint. I have never scrapped about the splint R wears on his left leg - a big omission in a record of our family life - and when these pirate-themed papers arrived with my copy of Scrapbook Magazine the day after he got a new skull 'n' crossbones printed one, I knew I needed to remedy this.

I had 1 lonely  funky foam foot-shaped embellishment lurking in the bottom of a box which I used as a stamp to add some footprints.

The dark red is there, but hidden. I used the back of a Power Ranger's game card to include some hidden journalling

To see the rest of this month's hop, join the links below. I won't be committing to this in August (I almost missed the 16th today, so I have no hope of remembering the date when we're on holiday!) but I'll visit as many as I can and I'll see you all back here in September.

Nice job on the layout. Good for you for making less than perfect attempt work for you on another layout. I like the idea of hidden journaling too.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I really love it that you used a background that didn't work for another project. I also love to use hidden journaling.
