2 scrapbook pages with my June Counterfeit Kit

Wow, just snuck in before the end of June! Both of these pages about M's 4th birthday were created mostly with my June Counterfeit Kit, which I've had very little time to play with this month.

I don't use much kraft cardstock so this was a departure for me. I created my own background with Happy Birthday and cupcake stamps and champagne watermark ink, then cut the shaped edge from another sheet. The journalling round the edge does double duty as a doodled border. The flowers were cut from patterned paper then layered with buttons and embroidery thread.

The bright green leaf-patterned paper from My Mind's Eye is called Quite Contrary - perfect for my Contrary Mary. I teamed it with the equally-bright yellow and then needed a 3rd accent colour. I toyed wth black to tone it down, then decided to embrace the brightness with the Paper Cellar orange silk paper and felt flowers.
I took this picture of a cheeky squirrel while in the park with the kids on their bikes, so I decided to hide him under the bottom photo as a quirky surprise.  A 'Secret Squirrel'!

I love what you have done with the kraft background - that gives it an extra special party look!

Hi Kirsty
My WOYWW PiF Gift has arrive, and I love the earrings and the card. Thank you so much.
My daughter wanted to know how you knew her fav colour was pink, and so I had to explain that they are mine not hers.
Thanks again

Great layouts - love the bold title on the one and the softer look to the other.
