Color Combo Blog Hop

Welcome to the Color Combo Blog Hop! It's so nice to see you all, I've been  feeling a little lonely for the last 3 days while Blogger was having a tantrum.
If you arrived from MichelleRoycroft, you are in the right place! If you are here and didn’t come from the previous blog, I am listing the hop below my post so you can go start back at the beginning if you wish!
The colour inspiration for this was blue, teal and mustard, which gave me the perfect opportunity to scrap this photo of myself crica 1976.

The patterned papers are Papermania and DCWV, I think. The glittered bunting alphas are part of my May Counterfeit kit and are from my current fave range: Lost & Found, by My Mind's Eye. The ochre-inked storybook papers and library card represent the bookworm I was at 6 (still am, actually!) The nostalgic childhood stickers (also from the Counterfeit Kit) were mounted on white card and raised on foam pads to give it some dimension. I started off with the plan of a triangle of 3 embellishment clusters, but I got carried away making flowers and butterflies so I ended up with a triangle of non-embellished white spaces. Not sure if that works quite as well!.
I'm not entirely happy with it, but I doubt I would be happy with any page featuring my 6-year old self with waist-length bunches. I tell myself my daughter will treasure in years to come.
Here is the Blog Hop list.
