JYC 31and 32

I'm not a fan of New Year's Eve parties. I don't ever remember having the sort of fantastic night one is supposed to expect. Anyway, since having children it's been much more difficult to organise a night out so we have made a tradition of playing down New Year's Eve.

Last night my Mum, Dad and Father-in-Law came for dinner. Having put the children to bed at their normal time, we treated ourselves to confit de canard, with roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese, folowed by homemade ice cream and shop-bought chocolate souffles.

We played one game of P's new 'Scrabble Trickster' (which I highly recommend to Scrabble fans) and went to bed before Midnight.

1.1.11!
New year. New decade. New beginnings. A time to look forward, not back.

I never feel sad at the end of Christmas. I'll start getting excited again in only 9 months time. Instead I took down all my cards and decorations today and reclaimed the house. No resolutions, just One Little Word, which you read about in the previous post.

Sorry I don't have time to comment on each post separately, I have a lot of catching up to do after my lurgy! But I have enjoyed looking at all your JYC pages, and reading about your one little word :-) Happy New Year to you! xx
