Happy Birthday Dear Blo-og, Happy Birthday to You

Wow!! I've just realised something!
It is exactly a year since I started this blog!

This necklace was featured on that first post. Back then, I intended my blog to act mainly as advertising for my new jewellery business. I never expected blogging to become a hobby in its own right. I suspect I would have produced much more jewellery in a year if it hadn't!
Since then, I have written 192 posts (shame I wasn't more on the ball, I could have made it up to a nice round 200.)
I have met more cyber-friends than I thought possible. I had no idea a year ago that the online crafting community was a) so big and b) so friendly. I have been inspired, challenged and entertained in equal measure.
In return, and because it just isn't a birthday without presents, I'd like to offer 2 readers a handmade jewellery gift.
Simply leave a comment, telling me what your favourite colours are and I will draw 2 names in a week's time (Sunday 23rd). I will then create a piece of jewellery just for you in your chosen colours.
And, because it also isn't a birthday without cake, please, have a slice of coconut lime cake.

Well, congratulations Kirsty! Here's to many more years of happy blogging.

Round here they call me "The Queen Of Green", so I'll have to say - green.

Congratulations on two counts! You were the winner of the Pass the Book draw on my blog Sunday. I fear you didn't get my email, so please send me your address so I can get the book in the mail to you! I'd love to be added to the drawing for a piece of your lovely jewelry! My favorite color is red, followed closely by black.
