Bring It On! (Christmas, that is)

Like lots of you, I'm doing Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas again this year. This will be my 4th year, and I wanted to change it up a bit, but I was worried about taking on this as well as finishing Document 2010 at such a busy time of year. I thought of just doing 6x4 cards for each day, but I knew I would not be able to do as much journalling as I wanted so today I have taken the bull by the horns and made a decision.

I have added to the front cover of the lovely little book Mel made me, inked the edges of the pages and created my date tags. Because the book is 4x6, on days when I just have a photo, or a  digi page, I can print them twice for the album and Document 2010, but I will still have the freedom to do paper pages and lots of journalling when I choose. I'm not going to pre-make my pages, as I find that too restrictive. It will be a hybrid mix of styles depending on the topic and my mood. That is what makes me happy, so that is what I shall do!

I plan to blog my JYC evry couple of days as well, throughout the festive season so another advantage of the small format is that it will scan straight into Blogger. With the short days at this time of year, finding time to photograph 12x12 pages in decent light and then reduce the size in Photoshop is just a faff too far!

I'm quite excited now - Roll on December 1st!
