Style stone pendant and denim gift card

For those of you who asked to see the finished denim pocket card and style stone pendant, here you are.
The pocket card, as you can see, is the ideal size to hold a jewellery gift for a posted present.
I was pleased with how the style stone turned out. I inked the basic white stone with gold pigment ink and heat-embossed with copper embossing powder, then super-glued a red flower jewel to the front from an old single earring. The copper findings and other red beads came from 2 different necklaces I'd bought in charity shops and I finished the pendant with cord from my stash. The whole thing cost me less than £1 to make. I would love to be able to work in sterling silver and semi-precious stones, but at the moment it is more economical to learn the trade using recycled jewellery. It's also fun to find unusual pieces and it taps into the zeitgeist, don't you know!

I love the combination of red beads with copper - and this looks fabulous. Not at all recycled. (Though I think it's lovely to take something old and make something new!)
