I took 140 photos at the Harry Potter Studio tour and there at least 30 that I really want to scrapbook. I did consider making a separate mini book but my mini books just seem to get put away and never looked at again. I definitely want a divided page protector and at least 2 12x12 pages to go in my 2013 album. It may turn out to be more.
One of my favourite things to do when I get a new batch of prints is go through my stash and put together page kits to go with them. I find that if I make up 3 or 4 kits in one go I'm ready to get scrapping at short notice, and I'm much more likely to use odd scraps and embellishments than if I have to go hunting for them while I'm working on a layout.
I decided on a few unifying features for however many Harry Potter pages I end up making and then put together a big kit. I started with the ephemera and embellishments I knew I wanted to use: tickets from the day itself; HP trading cards which I received in a blog giveaway ages ago (sorry, I can't remember who they were from, but you know who you are - thank you) and a Queen & Co film strip washi tape I bought especially.
This is way more fun than buying ready-made kits. It feels like piling up a big shopping basket of stash, but without spending anything. Although I knew I didn't have time to start a layout as my sister-in-law was due to come over for lunch, I couldn't wait to get going with it all so I just made an embellishment tag. I'll share the page(s) as when I make them.
