July in Numbers.

July is a funny old month to look back on; the first half was all end-of-term madness at 4 different schools, the second half all relaxation in France. I'm really enjoying looking back over each month to take part in Julie's Month in Numbers. It feels like much longer than 3 weeks ago that I attended the children's sports days. Although we are only 4 1/2 hours away here in France, the  pace of life, makes homelife and school feel like another world.

My month included:
3 sports days
7 end of term events
10 friends of R's scoffing pizza, ignoring a DVD and dancing to music at his early birthday party.
£45 - the amount of birthday money he received from those 10 friends - enough to buy the Wii Skylander game he'd been asking for since Christmas.
4 1/2 hrs on a cross-channel ferry (plus 1 1/2 hr delay)
11 - the number of times R and M have watched the same DVD since they got to France
3 swims at the British bar (that's where we are now so I can post this_ and 1 in the sea

Children are all the same - mine watch the same DVD over and over ... they really like the Madagascar movies!
Your holiday is sounding good!

Hi Kirsty...have popped over from Cate's blog. Not quite sure how we haven't met up before, as I see you commenting on quite a few of the blogs I visit! Love your 'Month in Numbers' and glad you're having a good holiday1
