A cheeky polaroid layout

Using my counterfeit kit, I set out to scrap these cheeky photos of my daughter.

I had picked out the pink cardstock and the dressmaking patterns and I was determined to use them so I decided to make rosettes! I have had the wooden flower embellishments for ages, but they are a bit chunky for my taste, and I found the colours too masculine. I don't know why I didn't think of it before, but I pulled them apart and used a single layer to finish off my rosettes. With a pink button in the middle they look completely different. It was a good reminder to me that there is an alternative to buying expensive embellishments or making them from scratch - adapt what you already have.

The rest of the layout came together quite quickly, so I made a card for my cousin's baby shower, while I was 'in the groove'. It also featured die-cutsI've had lying around for a long time, as there hasn't been a new baby in the family for 3 years, until now. Sorry it's a bit bright in the photo.

Why don't you look through your unloved embellishments and see how you can jazz them up?

I like those rosettes, what a great way to repurpose what you already had! I like the addition of the pattern paper - very pretty.
