Something alien

I've been doing quite a lot of scrapbooking since the beginning of the year, but my card-making mojo seems to have taken a holiday. Maybe it's because every card I've made recently has been really important (my Dad's 70th, my Nan's 90th etc). I have been  feeling the pressure of having to produce something really special,  and I not been really happy with any of the cards I've made, although the recipients were. My Nan's 90th card is a case in point. It's a pretty enough card, but it just doesn't feel extra-special enough.
To try and break this deadlock, I decided to make a random card, not for a specific recipient and to try some thing different, one might say 'alien' to me. I chose another picture from the Picture Composition textbooks I've been cutting into and coloured it with Promarkers - not something I do often. I cut the picture up, raised one pair of astronauts on foam pads, and the other at the front of a tri-fold card. This is the first time I've made a 3D card like this and I'm pleasantly surprised by how it's turned out. I was fully expecting it not to stand up!

That card is just excellent! I love it - it made me smile! Very good and I'd say your "lost mojo" has returned!

BTW, thanks for the comment on my "Revamp" post. I found the Search box in the Blogger Page Design - if you click "Add a Gadget" there are several shiny new ones, including Search!

FUN card! I'm sure in a few years when my boy is old enough he'd appreciate getting it for his birthday :)
