Look, look, look!!!

Do you love my new blog layout as much as I do? It was designed by the uber-talented and very generous Shimelle Laine. I was one of 5 lucky people to get a Blog Makeover from the Beyond Blogging for Scrapbookers class, which has sadly just finished live (but you can still get the materials and start it whenever you like, if you missed it this time round)

I love Shimelle's classes for a number of reasons: there is a real sense of community on the forum; the prompts and challenges are always spot on, thought-provoking yet achievable; and I can see real improvement in my crafting and, in this case, my blogging.

I'm really pleased with my new-look blog. I especially love the butterflies and the cute signature at the end of each post. Some things have been moved around or taken off. Is there anything missing, in your opinion?

Thank you, Shimelle. Here's a virtual thank you card.

I also took inspiration from Shimelle for this next layout, which is the only one I finished at Sunday's Scraploonies Crop. One of Shimelle's challenges on Scrapbooking Day was to use a border between two photos. However, I decide to combine this with the Scraploonies challenge to use a template and I got so absorbed in doodling my arrows with the template that I forgot about the border, so I added the double-yellow lines at the last minute!

Shimelle did a really nice job for you.
I need to figure out how to do that signature thing at the end of the post.

It looks beautiful (and of course I love the gray and green!). "Health to wear" as we say round here.

You asked about the vintage patterns - mine are actually knitting patterns, so I'm afraid I haven't got any cute dressmaking pattern ideas. I'll keep an eye out as I surf though.
