What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday?

My desk is looking pretty tidy, as I have been systematically sorting out page kits to take to my crop at the weekend, instead of doing any actual crafting. I 'had' to go shopping for some adhesive so I did end up buying a few rather gorgeous sheets of patterned paper yesterday. I especially love these shaped papers. I almost never buy kits or full paper pads (except for basic cardstock and maybe at Christmas when I know I will use it all ) as I hate being left with half a kit I won't use for 3 years, so I usually just buy single sheets when I fall in love with them.
Sorry about the blurry patch - maple syrup on the lens from taking photos of pancake tossing yesterday!
I have been trying hard since the beginning of the year to use up what's in my scrap box but, as you can see,  it is still overflowing! There just aren't enough hours in a week to make that many cards!
There also aren't enough hours to visit all you WOYWWers, but I'll do my best. Have a good week

Hi Kirsty - thanks for popping over to see me on my blog today. Isn't this a great way to meet people you'd never have come across otherwise?! I love your post about crafting with your little girl - it doesn't get any easier when they leave home though. I still get calls starting with "M-ummm?!" in that pleading sort of tone when they want to make something! Not complaining, though - wouldn't be without them! See you around in Blogland. Chris x

Some lovely papers you have to play with. I hope you get lots done when you start work with the kits you're making up!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who buys mainly single sheets of paper.

Like you , I very rarely buy kits, unless I am very sure I like all the bits or at least 95% of it. I have one now, that I quite liked when I bought it, but when it came to use it, I was really disappointed. The cards were not well cut, and the centres (which should have just popped out) were not cut accurately, most being off centre. I have finally found some other card which shows off the decoupage much better. I prefer to buy cardstock and either stamp of decoupage my own designs.

Hope the pancakes were good. We go for sugar and lemon juice on them.

Your supposed to get the syrup on the pancakes...LOL. Hope they were yummy! You have a nice clean workspace now so get to all those papers and show us some great creations.

Hi Kirsty, late, I know, but I am still snooping round desks and yours was real tidy last week. Although I tend to by the small pads of paper (6x6, A5) I do the same as you with the 12x12 size, buy in single sheets - much more useful that way. Hope you've had a good week. Elizabeth x #97
