Pass the Book

I've just about finished with my My Pass-The-Book book. From Karen I received  'Where Women Create - Book of Inspiration' byJo Packham and Jenny Doh; it's fab.
This brilliant scheme originated with Sian from High in the Sky. You can read all about it and how it works at this link, but it's quite simple.
I loved this book. A bit like WOYWW, only better. Gorgeous photos and inspiring ideas. I've loved having it to stay, but it's time to pass it on to someone else.
Two common themes which emerged from this book were a) having your supplies visible & to hand so you are more likely to use them. (I only have a desk and a bureau and I work at the dining room table, so all my stuff is usually out-of-sight) and b) upcycling used containers for storage.
Inspired by this, I got the bit between my teeth and decided to beautify my desk area a little. I upcycled a chocolate box to house my unmounted stamps, which had previously  been jumbled in a box and very hard to find. I stamped and embossed the lid with all the stamps that were inside. Given that I had already gleaned the ribbon from this box for a layout and thoroughly enjoyed the chocolates, this could be considered very good value.

I also hung an Indonesian hanging with pockets which I was given by a student at Christmas. Perfect for keeping scissors and adhesive close to hand.
I have plans for an Inspiration Board on the blank wall over my desk, but for now I have blu-tacked some photos which I am planning to scrap next, onto my bookcase where I can see them and think about them at any time.
So, if you'd like next turn with this beautiful book, here's what you have to do:
Leave a comment on this post. I will draw a name from all the comments next Sunday and post the book to you. When you have read it and gathered some inspiration from it, post about it on your blog, and then send it along to someone else who comments on your post.
Simple as that! Enjoy!

I've read it Kirsty, so please don't include me in the draw..but wanted to comment!
I loved it too..and am lucky enough to have a dedicated space that allows me mostly to have everything to hand..but really, weren't you a tad annoyed by the SPACE that this book presupposed we all have?!!

Sounds like a wonderful book. I will have to look or it. I also love this concept of passing on the book. I will have to do this with some of them I read. Fabulous idea!
