What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday

I haven't made any jewellery for a while so it was fun to put together this Christmassy set. It took me quite a long time though - I always forget that you can't just move beads around once they're strung like you can with elements of a scrapbook page. With jewellery it is much more important to have your overall vision at the beginning, it can't just 'evolve'.

This is what the dining room table looked like when I went to bed late last night, having just about finished a 'Sorry your cat has died' card for a colleague. I hope it will suit. Not being a cat lover myself (apologies to all of you with furry friends draped over your scrapping supplies) I think I lacked the necessary sympathy!

Enjoy your snoop round other people's desks, i always do! Julia was really onto a winner when she started this one.

Well, that's a first - a sympathy card over a cat! Being a cat lover, and cat-less at the mo, I can empathise with the person who has suffered the loss, but to get a card.... well, it takes all sorts. Nice work though!

I think you actually have lots of sympathy .....not many would actually bother in making a card for the occasion. Bless you.

Bless - MM comment made me laugh - it's hard to lose a pet ...but i must say my evil side is giggling and my mind is conjuring up all forms of inappropriate sympathy cards.

So sorry you lost your car keys card and matching notelets (cos you know you will lose them again next week)....etc....

shocking, am i not,

one cannot compare irrevocable loss with any other form of loss... but I did ha ha ah

Love the jewellery, I haven't got into it yet but my mum loves it and creates as much mess as I do.

Good job with the festive jewellery! Love cats and their independant attitude and as art... - but not in my house or over my workdesk - I have a wooden one! Less hair and attitude!

Thanks for a peek into your world. You obviously have sympathy for the cat lover or you wouldn't have thought to send a card! S #84

Love the necklace and at least you have thought of your friend when they're unhappy, that's the important thing.

Love your necklace and earring set. I realize that it may seem trivial to some, but those of us without children often place huge attachments to our animals. You may not have realized how important the card was, but it meant a LOT to the recipient. Believe me, I've been there, I know! Happy belated from #1.

Great jewellery set, my friend. I know only too well what it's like to start a piece, take it all apart and re-string it! Looking good though :)
