What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday

Hi, We've just waved goodbye to our Ofsted consultant, so I can relax and catch up with my blog.
To all of you regular WOYWWers, I salute you for having something to show every week.
If you haven't yet discovered this wonderful weekly nose, check out Julia's blog here.
I've had a hugely busy few weeks and got very little crafting done. However, having escaped to the Scraploonies crop on Sunday, I do some work in progress - a pile of embellishments cut from last year's Christmas cards to recycle into this year's. A lot of them are more suitable for my daughter to use, so I am looking forward to some girly crafting sessions - I know she's only 3 - you're never too young to start.

Know you have probably only just posted but I was on a mission this week to visit every fifth desk from mine and I just seen yours. I usually only manage every tenth one so am feeling really pleased. Good idea to use last years to make this years with your 3 year old. I will try that with my grandaughter who will be 4 soon.

Yes, I agree. Great idea to recycle the embellishments. I once punched large circles out of each card received and made a page of them, then just got rid of the rest. They stock up fast otherwise! Happy WOYWW!

I have two granddaughters coming up to that age and I cut all sorts up for them to play with. Great idea to use last year's Christmas cards.

Looks like you and your little girl are going to be very busy! I always recycle my Christmas cards into Christmas gift tags for the following year.

Since I'm a huge recycler, I really like the idea of using old Christmas card pieces for embellishments. It really works, too, and no two are alike. Looks like a good assortment, too. I saw you post above and the 3 yr old's card. Looks like they are never too young and the talent doesn't fall far from the tree (so to speak). (#1)
