What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday? + a chance to win

I've missed the last couple of weeks as life got in way of scrapping but I've got a special layout lying on my desk today. It's called Best Friend and it celebrates...my best friend, Gayle.

We have been friends for 30 years, since primary school and she is absolutely my bestest friend in the whole wide world, but I had no recent pictures of her. When we're together, if either of us have a camera it is pointed at the kids. So, last time she came over, I persuaded her to let me take a few snaps and we got some silly camera-at-arm's-length shots of the two of us.
I've made an almost identical layout with a picture of myself as a gift for Gayle. I knew I wanted to use the Best Friends freebie collection from Scrapbook Magazine, but I didn't have quite enough of the same papers to make exact copies so it's a slightly different colour scheme. I also changed the journalling so hers reads like a letter to her.

The rest of my messy desk is covered with schemes of work to finalise for the end of term and paperwork needed for our remortgage. I'm looking forward to snooping round some other desks when I get a minute, but that won't be until after work, taking M for a visit to her prospective nursery and helping out at Beavers.
